Here is your Razor Underground Recap for September 29th, 2019.
We kicked off with brand-new music from the band In Motive. These guys are riding the same wave that bands like Selfish Things, Boston Manor and Sleeping With Sirens are riding. I recently had a conversation where I heralded this as the future sound of rock’n’roll. Combining not only heavy music, but elements of R&B and electronic music is what is catching fire in rock these days. Check out In Motive’s latest “Subtle Mistakes” below!
Next, we have the latest from Light the Torch. This band features former Killswitch Engage vocalist Howard Jones. This track comes off of Light the Torch’s 2018 release Revival and is a bit on the lighter side, showcasing a different sound from the band. Check out “The Great Divide” below!
I had the pleasure of speaking to the band Selfish Things this week. They just dropped their brand new album Logos and it is a certified banger. I always enjoy a band that has some deeper meanings behind their songs and Selfish Things is one of those bands. Check out my full conversation with Alex from the band below, as well as their new single “Blood” featuring Andy Leo of Crown the Empire.
Last, but definitely not least we have the band Microwave. These guys are a little left of center but remind me A LOT of the alternative ’90’s sound that developed alongside grunge. Now, add elements of post-hardcore and you have Microwave. These guys bring catchy songwriting that has all the right elements and loses none of the attitude in the translation. Check out their latest “Mirrors” below!
