A state grant is going to help some single people looking for a place to live in Oshkosh.
ADVOCAP is getting $100,000 to buy a building with 13 apartments.
Executive Director Mike Bonertz says there’s a real need for one-bedroom units for people who are homeless or could be homeless soon.
He says they’re looking at a specific building. The $100,000 won’t cover the entire cost of the property, but he says it’s a big start.
Bonertz hopes the building will be ready next year.
ADVOCAP helps people in Winnebago, Fond du Lac and Green Lake counties.
