The Oshkosh Plan Commission approves designs for a large new senior living community on the city’s west side.
MSP Real Estate is looking to build hundreds of memory care, assisted living, and independent senior apartments in the area behind the Fleet Farm store. Concern was raised about the complex being served by just one driveway off of Witzel Avenue, but Planning Services Manager Mark Lyons says that should not create traffic problems. He says there’s typically less traffic in senior living facilities compared to multi-family developments.
MSP hopes to start work on phase one of the project this fall. Phase two would include additional independent senior living units on the same site.
