A Menasha man that fell asleep before a house fire that killed a child reaches a plea deal with prosecutors.
Vernon Williams is convicted in Winnebago County Court on one count of child neglect causing death. Williams was watching three children–ages five, three and 18-months–when one of the kids set a fire that killed the 18-month old. He had a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit to drive at the time.
Williams faces up to twenty years in prison when sentenced on November 15th.
