Backstage at the Rave in Milwaukee in early May Cutter talked to Bring Me the Horizon’s Jordan Fish about their new album Amo, the stage set, dancing girls and more. At one point in the conversation the topic of the guests that are on Amo came up, including how Dani Filth ended up on the song “Wonderful Life.”
“Oli just messaged him on Instagram — just literally (direct messaged) him. I think he thought it was a wind-up at first, because he messaged back and said, ‘If this is really you, then yes, I’m up for it.’ He’s a nice guy.”
And of course his thoughts on the song itself:
“That song, it’s just a weird song… It’s not really the most cleanly executed in terms of the arrangement. It just happened to work that way. In the end, I’ve kind of told myself that it goes with the lyrics, because they’re all a bit random. The whole song sounds a bit random with the weird sounds, and it’s got Dani Filth on it, so I guess that one just happens to work in some way,”
The full conversation is also available on the podcast version of Cutter’s Rockcast and Jordan will be Cutter’s featured guest on this weekend’s Cutting Edge Countdown, heard Sunday morning’s at 8 on Razor 94.7/104.7.
