Here is your Razor Underground Recap for May 19th, 2019.
We kicked things off with brand new music from Heartsick Heroine. With Hannah Maddox on vocals and her husband Allen Maddox on guitar, Heartsick Heroine formed out of the ashes of Scarlet Canary. Anybody who followed Scarlet Canary knows how hard-working, honest, and straight-up kick-ass rock’n’roll these two are. Don’t sleep on Heartsick Heroine and check out their new song “Dead Like Me” below!
We had a double-header of interviews this week on Razor Underground. First up, Kaytie joined me for her first interview on Underground with one of our favorite bands, He Is Legend. We chatted with Schuyler Croom, vocalist of He Is Legend, about their new album White Bat that is dropping on June 28th. Check out our conversation and the latest from White Bat, “Boogiewoman”!
I am so stoked to be able to play more punk rock on Razor Underground. Admittedly, a genre that I don’t have a lot of experience in, it’s been a blast getting to know punk bands from around the country and being able to explore the music with you. One of those bands is Chicago’s Bottle Kids! Check out their latest “25 Days”!
We wrap up this weeks recap with my conversation with Evan from Minnesota’s Cold Kingdom. This band has been kicking around the upper-midwest scene for awhile and recently went through some significant line-up changes. They are back with new single “A New Disaster”!
