This is not a drill, sound the rock and roll alarms, it’s real and it’s coming this August! After debuting two new songs at their set this past weekend at the Welcome to Rockville festival in Jacksonville, FL, Tool have confirmed their new album. During their set in Alabama on Tuesday night they flashed August 30th on the screens during the intermission. Maynard himself then confirmed from the stage and asked fans to share the news via social media.
“Alright everyone take out your phones, security stand down and let these fuckers do whatever it is with their phones.”
The band then took to Facebook with the following video confirming August 30th as the release:
The long rumored album will be their first since 2006’s 10,000 Days. More information to come.
