Last Friday, news dropped that Slipknot’s Chris Fehn was suing the band, alleging that money was hidden from him, therefor saying that he wasn’t paid his proper share of revenue. Since then, Fehn was fired from Slipknot as they are headed towards a summer tour and album release.
The official documents of Fehn’s lawsuit have now been released. The lawsuit filed is for equitable relief and names the following defendants:
Slipknot, Incorporated (a New York corporation)
Slipknot, Incorporated (a California corporation)
Knot Merch LLC (a Delaware corporation)
SK Productions, LLC (a New York limited liability company)
SK Touring, Inc. (a Delaware corporation)
Knot Touring LLC (A Delaware limited liability company)
Rob Shore & Associates, Inc. (a New York corporation)
Michael Shawn Crahan p/k/a “Clown”
Corey Taylor
Robert Shore
The document states that Fehn became a partner in Slipknot in 1998 and states “FEHN reposed trust and confidence in the fidelity and integrity of CRAHAN and TAYLOR to operate the SLIPKNOT general partnership for the mutual benefit of the partners, including FEHN.”
The full court filing can be found HERE.
Slipknot, nor Chris have spoken out about the lawsuit, however Corey Taylor did respond to a fan who tweeted him calling the situation “a bit dickish.”
“You think that’s dickish, try being wrongfully accused of stealing money from someone you cared about, and having a lot of your fans believe it. Good Morning, by the way.”
We do not presume anyone’s guilt or innocence. We will update you as more information becomes available.
