Metallica are set to reunite with the San Francisco Symphony in honor of the 20th anniversary of the S&M album.
On September 6th, the two will perform together for the opening weekend of the Chase Center in San Francisco which will be the new home of the Golden State Warriors. Touted as the S&M2 show, Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony are set to play some of the original arrangements (by the late Michael Kamen), as well as a selection of songs arranged by Bruce Coughlin.
The original S&M double album was the last album to feature bassist Jason Newsted. No word if he will be a part of the show in September.
