Here’s what we know:
According to a report from The Blast, Slipknot’s Chris Fehn, known for wearing the Pinnochio-style mask and auxiliary percussion, is suing his bandmates because he believes that he hasn’t been fairly paid for his years out on the road.
The Blast reports that in his lawsuit, Fehn:
“claims to have always been told that the money from merchandise and touring is funneled through one sole company that splits profits and pays the members of the band.”
Fehn says however, that he recently discovered several other Slipknot-affiliated business entities in various states that have apparently been set up by his bandmates. He also says that he was unaware of those companies and never received a dime. In the lawsuit, Fehn specifically accuses band leaders Shawn Crahan and Corey Taylor.
Lead vocalist Corey Taylor took to Twitter this morning, we assume in response to these reports:
You’re gonna read a lot of bullshit today. This is all I’ll say. JUST YOU WAIT TIL THE TRUTH COMES OUT.
