‘Otherside’ was released as the 3rd single from Californication in 2000. The song speaks on battling past addictions and was written about refers to the band’s founding guitarist, Hillel Slovak who died of a heroin overdose in 1988. The song spent 13 consecutive weeks on top of the rock charts… one of the longest runs at the top of that chart.
