4 years ago, the world tragically lost Wayne Static, front-man and founder of Static-X. In all respects, it looked to be the end of the band.
This morning, that changed.
The 3 surviving and original members of the band, Tony Campos, Ken Jay and Koichi Fukuda have announced via a Youtube video that 2019 will see the final release from the band in the form of a new album titled “Project Regeneration”.
The album will feature the final recordings of Wayne Static and the band is promising a string of guests. According to Loudwire, this guests could include Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch and David Draiman of Disturbed.

Alongside the album, the band has also announced that they will embark on a 20th anniversary tour celebrating their debut album, “Wisconsin Death Trip”. No word on what that will look like without Static.
