Modest Mouse
Modest Mouse formed in 1993 in Issaquah, Wash. Over the past two decades, the band has become the indie rock gold standard. Modest Mouse’s 2018 tour will rock Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena on Wednesday, September 19th.
Founded by guitarist and vocalist Isaac Brock, bassist Eric Judy and drummer Jeremiah Green, Modest Mouse released their debut album, This is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About, in 1996. A year later, they followed with The Lonesome Crowded West, which earned the group positive press and considerable sales success by indie label standards, supported by extensive touring.
Modest Mouse achieved mainstream popularity, without sacrificing their longtime fans, with 2004’s Good News for People Who Love Bad News. Rising to the top of the charts, the album spawned the hit singles “Float On” and “Ocean Breathes Salty” and sold more than a million copies.
In 2014, Modest Mouse issued the single “Lampshades of Fire” in advance of the release of their sixth studio album, Strangers to Ourselves, in March 2015.
