Jason Bowld started out as a session drummer with Bullet For My Valentine and according to him that turned into fill in spots over the next 6 years. BFMV then drummer Michael Thomas decided not to return to the band after a leave of absence in 2016. It seemed to be the right move to just have Jason become Bullet for My Valentine’s full time drummer, but wait, there’s more. It turns out that Jason had the chance to become a Nameless Ghoul and play drums in Ghost. He told Alternative Press:
“It just didn’t feel right…Bullet came along that same week. I started playing with the band in 2o1o as a session drummer, filled in and didn’t think anything else after that. The Matt (Tuck) called me. A week turned into a month, a month turned into three months, and here I am.”
Bullet For My Valentine’s new album is called Gravity and is due out on June 29th. Listen to Razor for their new single “Over it” which can be seen below.
